Students will work individually to build a rubber band car following specified design guidelines with limited supplies and compete with other class members for the greatest distance the car travels in a straight line.

Each student will compete while the other class members and the teacher will keep a record of the measurements as the cars are tested. One to Two runs will be made by each car and the greatest distance reached will be recorded. Prizes will be provided to the greatest distance traveled and most creative design.
