Welcome to computer fundamentals.
In this course, you will learn about the following topics.
1.Computer operating system (MacOS, Windows, Linux)
2.Google apps (especially word processing and spreadsheets)
3.Google Slides or Powerpoint or Prezi presentation software
4.Typing
5.How computers work
6.How computers represent information using binary numbers
7.History of the internet
8.How the internet works
9.How home networks work
10.Writing web pages using HTML
11.Making games using SNAP or App Inventor (MIT) programming or Intro to Lego Robotics/
12.Making movies using a Chromebook built-in editor
13.Using technology in ways that help you reach your goals
The goal of this course is for you to learn about some areas of technology that you didn't know about and to give you the opportunity to create using technology.
We encourage you to share what you know with others and to learn from them as well. With all the knowledge in the classroom, everyone will learn a great deal if we share, work together, and help each other.
We must remember that everyone knows something about technology but not anyone knows everything. (That's true even for computer scientists!)
